POWER BAR LIGHT – GEVX
In the Machine Vision field, the use of a constant and powerful lighting source represents a crucial element in the optimisation of the performance of different applications, especially in highly specialised sectors. To meet the specific needs of the market, Genesi Elettronica has been committed to design and manufacturing high-performance and high-efficiency LED lighting solutions for machine vision for over 15 years.
It is in this atmosphere of continuous research and desire to provide ever more innovative and efficient solutions that the GEVX line, direct heir to the GEM-L10, was born in 2019. Developed to achieve higher lighting levels thanks to both tighter angles and improved dissipative capacity, the GEVX becomes quickly the preferred choice of our customers and partners.
The GEVX line consists of 3 families of illuminators, designed to meet the specific needs of the machine vision industry:
GEVX: designed for use in vision systems with linear or matrix cameras, it is capable of producing a focused, fixed or strobe illumination with logic start. Throughout the years, a new variant of the GEVX was developed. Identified by the acronym -ML, which stands for Multi Lens, the lighting solution is characterised by its ability to use the same lens in different positions, thus producing a light beam ranging from 4° to 45°.
GEVXB: designed for use in vision systems with linear or matrix cameras where a backlight is required, it is capable of producing a diffused, fixed or strobe illumination with logic start.
GEVXD: designed for use in complex vision systems with linear or matrix cameras, it is characterised by having 1 to 4 channels of illumination in a single product. The GEVXD is capable of producing diffused, or focused, fixed or strobe light with logic start.
Although with different functions, the lighting solutions present some common features, including:
- Profile lengths from 3cm to 600cm, with the exception of the GEVXD family, which ranges from 20cm to 600cm;
- Wavelengths ranging from UV-A to SWIR;
- Cover selection between lens, PMMA or PC depending on selected wavelength, transparent, opaline or satin;
- Up to 2 wavelengths within the same illuminator for the GEVX and GEVXB models, and up to 4 wavelengths for the GEVXD.
In conclusion, the GEVX line can be used in several areas, such as:
- Defect detection;
- Object detection;
- Sorting.
