The product line of linear Led lighting solutions GEM has been designed to meet the specific needs of the industrial sector, where optimal lighting is required to provide long-lasting optimum performance and adaptability, especially in areas where physical space is limited.Â
What makes our illuminators unique is not only their ability to generate a flexible and powerful light beam, but also their customization. For each model pertaining to the GEM line, indeed, it is possible to select: the length of the light profile; between 20 wavelengths, specifically from UV up to the SWIR spectrum; and the type of cover diffuser. Lastly, the fixing system is incredibly flexible as the side bases allow angular adjustment to direct the luminous flux where needed.
The GEM line consists of several models, including:
GEM: Designed for applications where surfaces of different sizes need to be illuminated, it can be used in various areas of machine vision where a linear or matrix camera is employed. From a technical point of view, in addition to the classic transparent and opaline covers, there is the possibility of applying a secondary lens to close the luminous flux at 10° or 25°.
GEMX4-GEMX4S: designed for vision systems in which there is the need to illuminate a product on 4 sides to create 3D images. The GEMX4 is a modular lighting solution characterized by a combination of GEM illuminators arranged in a square, or rectangular, shape and with the light beam generated simultaneously. The GEMX4S, on the other hand, differs from the GEMX4 in that it produces alternating illumination on each side.Â
GEMPC: designed with an IP69K protection rating thanks to its polycarbonate housing, the lighting solution is suitable for being employed in all applications where there is the need to illuminate areas in contact with liquids. The GEMPC can be further used inside machines and machining centres in the food industry, sorting machines and packaging.
Ideal for applications where there is the need to illuminate the inside of machines, the lighting solutions belonging to the GEM line can be employed in several machine vision sectors, such as:
- Â Â Â Â Â Food Farming: employed in fruit and vegetable sorting machines for checking the colour and defects of the fruit, and in vegetable and seed sorting machines for checking the condition and defects of the product
- Â Â Â Â Â Pharmaceutical: used for quality control of pills through defect detection
- Â Â Â Â Â Packaging: used for checking the positioning of packages or codes in labels.
