Today, 25 November, the world unites to celebrate the International Day for the elimination of violence against women, a key anniversary to reflect, raise awareness and take action against one of the most serious human rights violations.
Gender-based violence is a widespread phenomenon that knows no social, cultural or geographical boundaries. It affects millions of women in every corner of the world, causing physical and psychological suffering that affects not only the victims, but society as a whole.
This day is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of respect, equality and human dignity. It is a call for each and every one of us to play our part, in small and big daily choices, to build a future free of all forms of violence and discrimination.
Violence also extends to work environments, taking different forms; to effectively address this problem, joint efforts are also needed from companies through:
Genesi Elettronica, in seeking to be an active part of this change and having a staff composed of more than 70% women, promotes a work environment in which every individual can feel safe and respected. We believe that our contribution to building a more equitable and respectful society starts right here: the way we are and work, every day.
Today, and every day, we stand together to say NO to violence and YES to respect and dignity.
