Founded in 1991 by entrepreneurs Mauro Munari and Mario Rossi, the company was initially specialised in the manufacturing of customised electronic boards based on customer project.
In 2008, driven by a vision to expand its horizons, Genesi embarked on a new venture, establishing a dedicated facility to produce customised lighting solutions for a wide range of industries, including machine vision, pharmaceutical, automotive, packaging, food & beverage, labelling, sorting, tobacco and all areas of quality control. This strategic move proved to be decisive, as the lighting sector quickly became Genesi’s driving force.

To keep up with the increasing volume of products and solutions requests, the company opened a second manufacturing facility. This growth led Genesi Elettronica to look towards the international market.
Genesi Elettronica took part in the fight against Covid-19 by producing electronic boards for lungs ventilators, which became essential in this predicament.
